Music industry taste-maker NIC HARCOURT, hosts Morning Becomes Eclectic which is the signature music show of Southern California's flagship public radio station KCRW in Santa Monica 89.9 FM. Morning Becomes Eclectic is a three hour daily music program from 9am to Noon (PST), Monday-Friday and simulcast worldwide on www.kcrw.com.

Since arriving at KCRW in the spring on 1998, Harcourt has helped propel KCRW to the #1 rated public radio station in Los Angeles. KCRW's commitment to support new and emerging artists, without regard to record deals or promotional funding, has established the station's credibility in the music world.

Several times a week, Harcourt hosts unsigned artists and internationally acclaimed bands live in-studio on Morning Becomes Eclectic. Exposure on KCRW has helped launch the careers of such artists as Norah Jones, Sigur Ros, Starsailor, Dido, Coldplay, Pete Yorn and David Gray. Dido, Norah Jones, and Coldplay all received their first U.S. radio airplay on Morning Becomes Eclectic.

In late 2000, KCRW launched a new national program with Public Radio International called Sounds Eclectic. As a two-hour, best-of Morning Becomes Eclectic, Harcourt hosts the program which airs across the country and on the web at www.soundseclectic.com. Each show features a live recorded session and interview with an established or emerging artist. Sounds Eclectic Too, the album (PalmPictures), was released end of September 2002 with tracks from acclaimed artists: Chris Martin of Coldplay, Zero 7, AIR, R.E.M., Julieta Venegas, Tom McRae, Starsailor, Shelby Lynne, Nick Cave, Dido, Cousteau and Norah Jones.

Most recently, Nic served as the Music Supervisor for feature film, IGBY GOES DOWN, (MGM Distribution Company) released mid-September 2002.

In addition, Nic was nominated for Non-Commercial Program Director of the Year by Gavin Magazine in 2000 and 2001, the highly-respected San Francisco-based national radio and music trade magazine.
