MARK HOOVER, Sound / B-Camera
Early on Mark Hoover developed a passion for music and film. A Bachelor
of Arts in Film Studies from California State University of Chico pushed
him into the world of Broadcast Television where he gained experience as
an audio engineer in the Los Angeles market and expanded his horizons
from production to producing.
Jumping into the film industry as a Camera Assistant he worked on many
commercial and motion picture projects. Upon relocating to Atlanta,
Georgia, Mark started cutting his teeth producing and directing music
videos, working with such record labels as Ichiban, db and Bill Lowery.
Gaining momentum Mark produced and shot his first big film project,
"Sounds Below the Mason Dixon" a stylized music documentary featuring
five budding native acts out of the south.
Soon after Mark used his connections to open up an artists music venue.
For ten years the RedLight Cafe was one of the premier Southeastern
venues for Americana music with such acts as Peter Case, Alejandro
Escovedo, Indigo Girls, Dan Hicks, Jonathan Richman, John Hartford and
Kevn Kinny.
Mark is now back full circle working in Los Angeles engineering audio
and producing digital movies.
